How many treatments will I need?

For acute pain, we recommend 2 visits a week for 2 weeks. Pain relief may often be felt after the first one or two treatments.

For chronic pain, we recommend 2 visits a week for 2-3 weeks, tapering down to once a week when the symptoms relieve, for a total of approximately 8 treatments. Pain reduction is often felt after 2-4 visits, but treatment time for chronic pain varies between individuals.
Herbal medicine is often used as a compliment to acupuncture for pain relief. It supports the overall health of the body in order to speed healing, decrease inflammation, and promote blood circulation.
Other complementary therapies can also be used in conjunction with acupuncture, such as chiropractic treatment, massage therapy, physiotherapy, and fitness training.
